A lakeside escape
Welcome to Sand Baar.
A warm little cottage on the water — built for slow mornings, long swims, fireside evenings, and the kind of weekends you don't want to end.
Est. 2025
Cottage living, the way it should be.
We bought Sand Baar last fall and have been quietly bringing it back to life ever since — fresh linens, warmer lighting, and a stocked firewood pile. Now we're sharing it, a few weekends at a time, with friends old and new.
On the water
Private dock, sandy entry, kayaks ready to go.
Stone fireplace
Wood is split and stacked for chilly evenings.
In the trees
Tucked into pines with no neighbors in view.
Slow mornings
French press, fresh beans, porch coffee weather.

Designed to slow you down.
Real wood beams, a stone fireplace that actually works, and a kitchen stocked with everything you need to make pancakes on a rainy morning. It sleeps six comfortably and feels like the cottage you grew up visiting.

There's plenty to do — or not.
Hiking trails minutes away, a sleepy main street with great breakfast, and water as calm as glass before 9am. We've put together a little guide of our favorite local spots.
